N-trig enables original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to enhance their touch-enabled devices by developing digital pens with a high performance and natural writing experience. N-trig’s OEMs include Sony, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard and Lenovo, for use in smartphones, tablets and ultra-books. N-trig enables people to enjoy natural and intuitive pen experience in the digital world making the pen one of the key interfaces between people and devices. The N-trig Pen embodies all the benefits of freehand writing on paper with all the opportunities of creativity and collaboration that the digital world brings. N-trig had raised to date a total of $160 million in ten funding rounds, according to Crunchbase. It had revenue of $36.7 million in 2013, up 38 percent from 2012. Revenue totaled $20.6 million in the first half of 2014, when it sold 1.3 million digital pens, more than three times the amount it sold in the same period of 2013, according to Reuters. Microsoft, which owns 6.1% of the company, signed a deal last year to integrate N-trig’s pen into its Surface Pro 3 tablets.
